Omni was a very intelligent boy. He did all his homework on time and scored high marks on his tests. His teachers loved him. Yet his mother, was very upset. Omni spent all his time doing schoolwork or playing outside with his friends. He would never clean up his room or help his mother with chores around the house.
"Omni, come inside and clean your room up before dinner," his mother would call out. "Oh mom, let me have fun," Omni would answer. So it went on. His mother was at her wit's end. So she decided to call upon Mrs. KindFairy to help her teach Omni how to take his responsibilities seriously.
Mrs. KindFairy waved her wand and said the magic word "Adadadoodi Skippadoodi." In the blink of an eyelid she became a tiny worm. Now Omni loved all kinds of worms. Whenever he came across one, he would pick it up and bring it home. So when he saw this new worm, he picked it up. "Hello Omni," said the little worm. "Oh, a talking worm! What fun," cried Omni, "Can you do other neat things as well?" "Sure, I can finish your chores, so you don't get into trouble with your mom," replied his new friend. Omni couldn't believe his luck. "Ok, I want you to fold all my clothes and put them in the drawers," said Omni.
Then Mrs.KindFairy got Omni to do the chores himself while thinking that it was the worm who was doing it for him.
