The Clever Jackal

complete the story Long ago there lived a Jackal named Chatur. He was very clever.
One day, Chatur saw a dead elephant and thought "Oh! Here is plenty of meat to eat!" But, Alas, Chatur could not eat any of the meat. The elephant's skin was very thick and his teeth could not tear it open. Just then, chatur saw a lion coming that way.
Chatur said to himself, "The lion will surely want to eat the elephant's meat. I must stop him somehow. After all, I found the meat first. But how will I stop the King of the Jungle from eating the entire meat."

What plan did Chatur think of to prevent the lion from eating the entire meat?

HERE ARE THE STORY ENDINGS FROM OUR VALUABLE VIEWERS.

bujitha VI-B

Chatur told the lion, "Our forest doctor had told me one day that a lion should not eat its food without giving it to me."

Sanyukta Dharmadhikari

Chatur thought fast. The lion could easily overpower him in a fight. And if he offered the lion the meat, Chatur might have to go hungry for days together. Suddenly an idea struck him. He gathered two of his jackal friends and instructed them to do a favour. They agreed. All three of them ran in the direction of the lion screaming "Hunters!! Poachers!! In the Jungle! Run for your lives!!" As they reached the lion, many of other small creatures got frightened too and ran alongside them. Seeing many animals rush towards him, the lion became very wary. He summoned Chatur and asked "Where are you running? What has frightened you?" "Sire, I beg to hurry," said Chatur, acting brilliantly, "but four hunters have just parked their vehicles nearby. They have killed a huge elephant already. They have extremely sophisticated weapons which make no sound and take an animal by surprise. I think sire, you being the king of the jungle should flee first." The lion was now genuinely frightened. He took to his heels with others following. Chatur and his friend took a detour back to the dead elephant. They together managed to tear the flesh of the elephant and enjoy a good meal.

Rashmikant

Dear King lion, This elephant has been killed by other lion and asked me that he will come tomorrow till then guard it and eat some meat from it. I am not hungry at present you can eat some portion till the other lion comes in.

VijayaPrasadBoda

Jackal told the lion it was guarding the meat only for the lion.

chatur waited till the lion cut open the meat. then he hurriedly came near the lion and said that he is required urgently in the den by his lioness and just now a rabit came and gave this information. So the lion rushed back to the den. Then our clever friend chatur enjoyed the elephant with his family.

The jackal thought "the lion is not very clever I can trick him easily. The lion saw the elephant he roared "If you want your life go away jackal, this elephant is for me." "I Know", said the jackal "The forest goddess told me to wait for you" "she told that you must eat the elephants skin so that you will be stronger she also said that you must not eat the flesh of the elephant as it served you in being strong" "oh that will be rather hard " the lion said "but I must be strong or my brothers will kill me so that they can suceed to the throne" So the foolish lion ate the disgusting skin. And the witty jackal could eat the flesh which was delicious.

priya

Chatur stoped the Lion.he told,"Mr.Lion, see there is a elephant dead. You tear its skin. We both will share it". The stupid lion agreed. It tore into pieces. When they were going to eat Chatur shouted "The hunter! The hunter!".The Lion not even turning back ran.

SHIKSHA

First Chatur told the lion to tear the elephant and open it and the lion done this because it was a huge elephant and could fill his stomach. When he tore the Elephant, Chatur told him as it is a tasty meal the lion should take a bath. He told, "I have already taken a bath so I will guard the elephant till you come." When the lion came back from bath Chatur had already eaten the elephant and run away from there.

Nishank

Chatur said that your loyal servant has been guarding this dead elephant for you.But you say that you eat only what you have killed so lets eat half -half.

aysha

Chatur fooled the lion by making him think that the elephant had been alive and was just sleeping.

Rohan Tiwari

The lion at once saw the dead elephant. He was about to start eating the elephant when the jackal came and said,''O,the King of the Jungle, don't you know that by eating a dead elephant a lion becomes very ugly and weak." "Is that so " asked the lion."Yes,my lord " was the reply from the clever jackal,Chatur. The King of the Jungle thought for sometime and left. And that was the way the clever jackal got rid of him.

N.swathi Alamelu

The Clever Jackal told the King Lion that please take this dead elephant. But the Lion said that,"I will not eat the dead animals and insects. I am used to killing the animal and eating it. I wont eat the dead animals." Saying this he walked away. The clever jackal was very happy and started eating the dead elephant.

shreya shewale

He said, "oh ,let's run away. Hunters are coming!

Priyanjali Bhattacharyya

Chatur called the lion anyway. The lion said,"Thank you for informing me about this dead elephant. Being the king of the jungle, I have a duty towards my subjects. Thus I'll offer a portion of it to you." Chatur was surprised but he ate the meat happily anyway.

sathvika

Chatur will act as if he is the king.

KURPREET SINGH

CHATUR BOUGHT A BIG KNIFE FROM MARKET AND CUT OPEN THE ELEPHANT MEAT AND ATE THE MEAT.

Malhar Thaker

The Jackal very politely offered the dead elephant to the Lion. When the Lion tore it off, he suddenly screamed horribly and stopped the lion eating it. He told the Lion," Sir, Please don't eat this lion for God's sake. We can't afford losing the King like you!" The lion said very surprisingly and asked, " And why should I die,ha? Why on earth did you stop me eating?" The jackal replyed very cleverly," My lord, this elephant has died due to the dangerous Poison of the black Cobra. See his body has turned green! I am sure, who ever eats its meat will surly die like him. If you are hungry, eat me instead." The lion was moved by the love of the Jackal for his king. His eyes were wet. He left the elephant and turned towards his dane with pride and selfrespect. The jackal along with his brothers relished the big feast.

Siddharth

Chatur thought very quickly. He told the lion,"Oh! King of the jungle! I can share this elephant with you. But let's make a deal - henceforth we should become hunting partners and must share half the kill." The lion said ''YES!!!!'' So, in the end, the fox not only got half of the elephant, but he got half of many other kills in the future.

mahek

He told the lion that the hunters had poisoned the elephant's meat so that they could kill the lion. Hearing this, the lion ran away leaving the meat behind.

Priti

The jackal told the Lion that this elephant has not been hunted by the Lioness, therefore the Lion went back without eating (as lions eat the prey hunted by lioness only).

Nandini

"Dear lion, Do you know that one another lion came to me and said that he was going to kill the King of this forest. I was coming to you only its good that you only came." Hearing this, the lion got angry and went away.

arushi aggarwal

Chatur told the lion that it was a trap set for the lion by the hunters.
