One of the most famous paintings in the world is Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘La Gioconda’, popularly known as the ‘Mona Lisa’. The subject of the portrait was the wife of a merchant named Francesco del Gioconda. The lady had a fascinating smile but few noticed that she had no eyebrows (fashionable women shaved their eyebrows in those days).
The painting once hung in the bathroom of King Francis I of France. Today it is worth a fortune and hangs resplendently in the Louvre, in Paris.

Dimdima is the Sanskrit word for ‘drumbeat’. In olden days, victory in battle was heralded by the beat of drums or any important news to be conveyed to the people used to be accompanied with drumbeats.
