In a village, there lived a boy named Iric. He was illiterate and poor. One winter day a man named Fernandez wanted to cross the river. He was well educated and rich. Iric and Fernandez were sailing. In the middle of the river Fernandez asked Iric whether he was educated. Iric‘s reply was no. Fernandez said, “Oh! That’s bad, half of your life is wasted”. After some time, Fernandez asked him whether he is married. Iric’s reply was again no. Fernandez said, “You have wasted half of your life. I pity you!”. Iric who was listening to him patiently asked whether he knew swimming. Fernandez said no. Iric laughed and said `the boat is going to sink soon as the water is gushing inside through a hole” He jumped into the river and swam to the bank. There was no one to help Fernandez.
