CHILDREN'S CONTRIBUTIONS
Once upon a time there lived a small boy called Cart. One day his teacher told him that he should greet the elders with a ‘namaste’ whenever he meets them. Cart replied that he would try to do so. One day while returning home from school he heard a cry for help from the nearby well. When he peeped into it he saw an old man crying for help. Cart rushed to his house, brought a rope, threw it inside the well and asked the old man to catch it. With the support of the rope the man was about to jump out.
Cart was catching the rope. Suddenly he realized that the old man was his own teacher, who told him to say ‘namaste’. As soon as he saw him, Cart left the rope and joined his hands and said ‘namaste’. As a result the old man again fell into the well.
