The dead warrior’s wife,
With eyes as deep as the sea,
Could never ever predict,
That dead her spouse will be.
Her infant daughter’s eyes,
That were full of innocence,
Though never seen thy father,
Stood by the mother in silence
She wept and wept until,
Her child got up to see,
Her dearest mother in tears,
As sad as she could be.
Their lives were full of poverty,
Their hearts sank in sorrow,
They begged for food and shelter
Clothes too they had to borrow.
Until one day there came,
An angel bright and gay,
In a chariot made of roses,
Took the mother and child away.
