TALES FROM READERS

Traitors You Can't Sustain!

Muha and Simran were two beautiful, talented and caring best friends, who enjoyed their popularity at school. Their mutual understanding and deepness in friendship often made others jealous of them. Both the friends never missed an opportunity to participate in any competitions. Muha was a magician with pen and so was Simran with tunes and notes.
They were eagerly waiting for the talent hunt competition as the winners were to be given scholarships for further studies.
After a long wait, finally one day the dates for the talent hunt were informed. Both the girls worked very hard for the competitions. Infact on the day before the competition they even skipped lunch and decided to practice in an empty classroom. As they were practicing, Muha overheard someone, she quietly signaled Simran to stop and come to her. They heard a hushed voice saying, "10o' clock behind the empty field of Heera Bagh Colony. Nobody would know as it is always deserted there." Saying this he disconnected the phone.
Muha and Simran were stunned to hear this. They had recognized the voice of their Science Teacher. They understood that he was definitely up to something bad. But who would believe them? But they knew that they had to inform the police. But how?
Both of them thought very hard of some plan. Suddenly Simran got a very good idea and she whispered about it in Muha's ears. Though Muha was convinced with Simran's plan at the same time she was also worried about the competition. Simran consoled her by saying, "Leave it to the all mighty."
The day of the competition dawned. But the girls more worried about getting the culprit nabbed. They reached the place where the gang members were to meet. The girls had brought bags full of balloons filled with eggs and red powdered chillies and ropes to tie the crooks.
When it was 5 minutes to ten they saw a bearded man arrive with a bag and also their science teacher with a similar bag. The moment the men exchanged the bags, the girls sprang into action. They both threw the balloons at the men which hit them rightly at the eyes. The men screamed in pain. Later the girls tied both the men tightly in ropes.
Meanwhile, Simran rushed to a nearest booth to call the police. The police arrived and nabbed the crooks. The police Inspector said, "Great Job girls! You shall definitely get awards for your bravery." The girls then requested, "Sir will you please drop us at school to catch up with our competitions." On the way to the school, they told him the entire story.
The girls reached in time at the auditorium as the competitions were just about to begin. They gave their best performance in their respective fields and emerged as winners. The girls were also proud and happy with their performances, both on stage and off stage.
