TALES FROM READERS

A Fearful Event

Once upon a time there lived a lion in the jungle in Vrindavan. He was young & agile. All the animals of the jungle were afraid of him. Nobody wanted to go near him . He was of age so he thought of marrying. He invited various animals of the jungle to his marriage to help them to get rid of their fear of him.
He invited the crow, fox, elephant, monkey, bear.
The lion went to the monkey & said "You are a good dancer, you are invited for my marriage".
The lion told the bear "Please collect fresh honey for my marriage"
The lion said to the crow "Come & attend to my relatives on the marriage day".
The lion asked nightingale to come & sing sweet songs to his guests.
The lion said to the elephant " Come and blow the trumpet on my marriage".
The day of marriage finally arrived but the lion was very sad because none of the animals turned up on the day.
The bear was asked and he said " I could not collect sufficient honey, I am fearful that lion will get angry with me . He may even kill me."
The nightingale said " I am so afraid of the lion that I may not be able to sing "
The elephant said " I am strong but I fear the anger of lion . So I didn't show up "
The crow said " I am afraid to face so many lions . So I didn't go to lion's marraige"
So friends, the marraige of lion is a fearful event.

Moral - To share one's happiness one should see that the others are not afraid of us.
