Mr. Peabody's Apples

Author - Madonna

Less than two months after her first children's book, The English Roses was published, pop singer Madonna released her second book, Mr. Peabody's Apples. The singer-turned-writer was inspired to write the book after reading a 300-year-old Ukranian tale called The Baad Shem Toy.
Mr. Peabody's Apples is a story that takes place in 1949, in Happville, a town in the US. Mr. Peabody, the beloved elementary school teacher and baseball coach, finds himself snubbed when rumours about him spread through the small town. He silences the gossip with an unforgettable and poignant lesson about how we must choose our words carefully to avoid causing harm to others.
Madonna's first children's book, The English Roses, which was about friendship and jealousy, ranked number one on the children's picture book bestseller list of the New York Times, remaining on top for six consecutive weeks. The book was also a bestseller in England, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Taiwan, Brazil, Slovenia, Iceland.
