I am what I am today because of him
Without his light my life would have been dim
At all times he was my savior
And it didn’t hurt me when he corrected my behavior
He’d always tell me with utmost care
That a bird because of its efforts flies in air
he told me not to live in fear and pain
Otherwise in the game of life I’d be slain
He’d advice not to think of the future or the past
Or in today’s world I’d be last
He is my protector, my idol, my guide
A person who has never let go of my side
He promised to make my dreams come true
If I made his into reality too
He is none other than my father,
My teacher or my friend rather
I am what I am today because of him
Without his light my life would have been dim.
