I have a new cat,
Who is very fat,
She has white fur.
And a beautiful purr.
She likes to chase rats,
When you give her a pat.
And likes to play with a bat,
On the little red mat.
But one day, she made my room a mess,
And even my new velvet dress.
I was very sad, because,
She never was so very bad.
Now I taught her to be kind,
Like a cat which no one could find,
Now she is very polite,
And she won’t even scratch or bite!
