As I walked into the sun lit room,
The class was in a complete bloom;
I felt insecure and nervous,
but excited too.
I was enthusiastic to make new friends;
And made them as well
But I didn't want to leave my mother,
As I felt scared and lonely with others
I was very eager to meet my teacher
As she was like our friend
She was generous, kind and beautiful
She made us comfortable and cool.
I didn’t hope these things of the first day
But slowly I could find my way
At the last minute of my first day
I felt in a very friendly way.
