POEM
The Energy of HYDERABAD

The energy of Hyderabad has never died,
From colour filled streets to mutton biryani fried.
From Iftar parties to colourful kites,
And Ganesh immersions to Diwali with lights
The much thronged Lumbini park with the laser show,
And the Golconda fort, where everyone wants to go.
The streets of old city, with bangles colourful;
They hold the Charminar, both famous and beautiful.
The Qutub Shahi tombs and the museum Salarjung,
Songs of its praises are, till date sung!
Here we experience the purity of a pearl,
And here comes up a new mall, right in a whirl!
With the Birla Mandir and the Snow World,
To visit the city, you needn’t be lured.
Home to Tollywood and raining film stars,
With speeding bikes and super sports cars.
Where scenes are shot is the Ramoji Film City,
And whisper valley gives you the best scenic beauty
People here are Hyderabadi's, large hearted,
unbiased with their minds well crafted.
When a bird sings, or a flower blooms,
In the neigh of a horse carrying marriage grooms
The energy of Hyderabad is always alive,
And I hope it stays so; its happiness and energy never die.

Shreya Vishwani,
Std. 10,
B.V.B.P.S.
