Plants seem to respond to people, noises and other things around them in ways that no one really understand but many people claim to have made new discoveries that could change the way we think about plants.
People with “green fingers”
Why are some people especially good at growing plants? No one is really sure but plants seem to be able to respond to people praising them and wanting them to grow well. Some people produce chemicals in their sweat that may help the plants to grow better.
Can plants read our mind?
Some people claim that a plant will react if you just think about burning one of its leaf. Other experiments seem to show that plants will grow badly or even die if people keep thinking nasty thoughts about them.
Do plants grow better to music?
Many people think they do. Some people even claim that classical music is better for plants than rock music. Research has shown that crop plants grow better to the vibrations of an electric motor and loud noises can make seeds grow more quickly.
