Elders say that ‘cleanliness’ is next to ‘godliness’. This saying clearly tells the importance of cleanliness in our day to day life.
It is important for every one of us to observe cleanliness from the time we get up in the morning and until we go to bed.
We brush our teeth and take bath so that we remain healthy. Before eating any food we wash our hands and prevent harmful germs from entering our body.
Mother keeps our home clean, arranges every thing in order so that we don’t waste time in searching for what we want. She washes our clothes and makes them look brighter. She cleans rice and vegetables before cooking and prepares a very hygienic food.
A person who is clean in appearance attracts everyone’s attention and also commands respect.
Our elders rightly say that there is a healthy mind in a healthy body.
It is also very important that along with our home we try our best to keep our surroundings clean, stop polluting air and water we get from “Mother Nature”. This will not only make us healthy but also help our neighbours to remain so.
