Christmas is the twenty-fifth day of the month of December. This day is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ was born to Joseph and Mary, in a stable, in the town of Bethlehem. It is believed that angels heralded the child’s arrival and told the shepherds about it. A star guided the shepherds and the three wise kings in the stable. They offered obeisance and gave gifts to the infant who was God’s Son on Earth. Gifts and presents thus form an integral part of the festival during Christmas. It is also believed that Santa Claus comes at night and distributes gifts to the children. People decorate their house with lots of balloons, Christmas stars and Christmas tree. It is a day for family get-together. Christmas presents are exchanged and people greet one another Christmas cards are also exchanged.
