I think the treatment given to widows is ridiculous in India. Young girls who are hardly 6 or 7 years are married and then when their some 60 yr old husband dies they are subjected to bad treatment and they are advised to forget to smile and live the rest of the life in memory of their husband. How stupid is that. That girl doesn't even know who her husband is. And a little older widows are advised not to do certain things like doing certain pooja and etc. I think this should be banned and widow remarriage should be allowed. Women should stand up against such ill treatment and learn to become independent, smart and intelligent.

Dimdima is the Sanskrit word for ‘drumbeat’. In olden days, victory in battle was heralded by the beat of drums or any important news to be conveyed to the people used to be accompanied with drumbeats.
