The day began on a peaceful note.
The morning sky clear
And dewdrops everywhere
As I walked down the street
I saw the face of men and women
All relishing and cheering the day to come.
But soon it was to change
As the clock struck 6:24 on July 11,
The cries of tear and fear hit my ear.
The bodies were lying here and there
With their faces covered in cremation mask.
The terrorist struck not once, not twice but seven times
Leaving even the rudest city in a state of terror.
And the question arose-
Will the nation ever recover?
And next day, as if the question was answered
The peaceful across the nation rose.
United in a bowl of fraternity and with the will of steel
Going across their chores just as in a normal day.
Not allowing the terrorist to have their way
And yet conquering their fear
And fighting their worst nightmare of terrorism
With bravery and heroism.
