CHILDREN'S CONTRIBUTIONS
I am trying to decide,
What things are most worthwhile,
And these I think are all of them,
A prayer, a deed, a smile.
A prayer to God in gratitude,
For all that he has done,
And to pray him for strength,
In battles to be won.
A faithful deed to serve each need,
And answer every call,
Especially for charity,
However great or small.
And just to have a friendly smile,
That brightens up the day,
And does so much to lighten cases,
And takes the clouds away.
Yes, these I think are all of them,
A prayer, a deed, a smile,
To fill the world with happiness,
And make this life worthwhile.
