CHILDREN'S CONTRIBUTIONS
I come out of the fertile earth
But they cut me down for their smoky hearth
Oh I am useful as I am tall
But they abuse me for all.
The rain clouds water me now and then!
I flower and fruit for everyone;
They pluck my flowers and eat my fruits
Rest under my shade but cut my roots.
As my nature is to help others
Their nature is to harm their brothers
Why is it so, 1 feel very sad
Why is it so, I feel very bad.
