A young fisherman was out at sea throwing his net into the deep blue sea. Oh my! The net has grown too heavy! Has he caught all the rock at the deep? Or the great black monster fast asleep? He pulled the net with all his might. And peeped to see Oh! what a sight?
There were no fish or monsters of the deep.
But a beautiful mermaid lying fast asleep.
How beautiful she was, shimmering like gold! The fisherman was lost in her enchanting hold and splash he fell off his boat. But he stood in his hut with a choking throat. The light came filtering through the roof beams.
Alas! It was all a fisherman's dream.
