International Rose Day a special day for all patients suffering from cancer. A team of approximately 20 students from the IXth standard were chosen to pay a visit to the cancer patients at INHS Asvini. We carried with us a rose each which were later handed over to them .The scene witnessed in the cancer ward was one that shocked all of us. The patients though in pathetic condition were still smiling and had the hope to be fully cured some day.
The students were allowed to have an interactive session with the patients and learn more about their lives. We were also allowed to talk with the doctor in charge and gain information about this fatal disease called cancer. The whole visit was a very memorable one .I would like to conclude that it made us all thank God for the wonderful health he has given us and promise to help and cheer such cancer victims.
