What is this ‘me’?
Is it this flesh and blood that makes me?
That inner soul,
That eternal being, transcendental,
The soul present in everyone,
The soul that determines dead or alive,
Is that soul ‘me’?
Is it my deeds and thoughts that comprise me?
My thoughts make me do action,
And create a false reflection,
In the mind of the world,
Or is me my words?
Men come and go,
It is a circular flow,
A few leave a mark behind,
This character remains imprinted,
Is this ‘mark’ the ‘me’?
My choice to go through the first path,
My choice to choose the first path in the fork,
My choice to discriminate,
Is it that choice which makes ‘me’?
