Under the sun,
Playing on glittering green grass,
Hanging my hand from tall trees,
Climbing the pleasant peeps tree,
My friend asked me if I was a monkey,
I asked myself,
One in the zoo or one in the jungle?
Suffering the brutal bars or enjoying in the marvellous meadows?
Curbing my thoughts in the cage?
Expressing openly?
Jumping and roaming around?
Finding food for myself or being fed?
Am I the mighty monkey of the jungle or the master dependent monkey?
Open air, closed cage?
I said to her, "I might be one but surely of the jungle."
