I was in my fourth grade. We had CLASS TOPPERS at that time. Only 3 students had got this prize that year out of 124 students. I was not sure if I would get that prize. My heart was beating very fast!
My parents were also present for the function. I was very nervous.
Our principal came on to the stage to announce the class toppers for all grades. Then he reached to the announcement of grade 4. The first name was my friend Pragna, Second Amulya…and the third was my name.
I was so happy that I could barely move. My friends who were sitting behind me, pushed me and my mother with tears in her eyes hugged me. I still can’t forget the experience I had at that time. It went beyond my expectations and at last with full confidence I stepped on to the stage with audiences’ applaud. The chief guest congratulated and gave me a big memento.

Yup! Obviously it feels quite happy when we can hold victory with the palms for the first time.
