prashanth asked: How are shadows different from images ?
Answers:
- rafeek:- [ 11/13/2006 ] Shadows are caused due to the hindrace to the passage of light waves. The size of shadow depends upon the angle of illuminated light waves to the particular object. But whereas the image of an object can be defined as the actual size of the body which is projected on a mirror. The image cannot vary with respect to the light emission to the body.
- pragya:- [ 12/7/2006 ] Shadows are formed due to hindrance of light rays that are always black in color while images are of the same color as the object is. Images formed by a mirror show lateral inversion which is not in the case of shadows.
