sdvjayakumar asked: Why does the Milk rise during boiling?
Answers:
- neena:- [ 8/30/2006 ] Well I'd like to ask the same.
- Chicken:- [ 9/5/2006 ] Because the bubbles formed occupies the space of the milk thus it rises.
- hamid:- [ 9/6/2006 ] Please note temperature of the outer side of milk gets cold and becomes solid which pulls up the milk up which is boiling in the vessel and goes up.
- Gaurav Ragtah:- [ 9/10/2006 ] Milk molecules have high cohesive properties and the top layer of milk forms a thin layer thus the milk which expands on heating causes the thin foamy layer/film to rise .
- Mike:- [ 9/14/2006 ] What are the measurements for measuring heat Standard International, Metric and British?
- ROHIT VARTAK:- [ 9/28/2006 ] When the milk is cold the molecules in it are very close to each other. But when it is made to boil the molecules in it get split and due to this they come up . Hence the milk rises.
- ap:- [ 10/1/2006 ] Due to expansion of milk molecules.
- aditya sharan:- [ 10/3/2006 ] I don't know. Can you tell me?
- siddharth:- [ 10/3/2006 ] The milk rises as it expands on heating.
