It has a pig-like body and its head tapers into a snout so long it could almost be a trunk!
What is this strange animal? It is a tapir, a mammal that has remained virtually unchanged for 55 million years.
It is thought to be the ancestor of the rhinoceros.
Tapirs are found in Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and the island of Sumatra. Three other species live across the ocean in Central and South America.
