RAIN

Most awaited season of the country – India,
Solace from the torching heat.
Fulfilling the hope of the farmer which gives,
The lustre and glow to the farmer’s face.

Being the main source of water,
Quenching the thirst of the earth,
Spreading the fragrance, reviving the life at large
With the zeal and zest they start the work,
For future crop in the form of gold.
He dreams for the crops swaying and nodding,
In the blowing wind.
The birds which are eagerly waiting for,
A drop of water in their beak,
Flying and flattering their wings with ease.
