WHY DOES IT RAIN?

By Mahima P Verma (V B)

Meenu was a little girl. She used to watch the rain. One day when sitting on the verandah at night it rained heavily. So she ran inside the house. She started watching the rain. She had some thoughts. After some time her mother called her ‘Meenu it is time for dinner. Come and have dinner’. Then Meenu went to the kitchen, took some food from her mother and came to the dining hall. While she was eating, her mother asked, ‘Meenu what were you dreaming?’ She answered ‘Mother, I have some thoughts. Can I ask you a question about the rain?’
Her mother said, ‘Yes of course you can.’
She asked ‘Mother why does it rain?’
Her mother answered ‘Meenu it rains because the land gets heated, the hot air above the land rises up to form clouds. From the rain we get clean water. The frogs are enjoying in the ponds which are filled with water. The plants and trees will get enough water. So the rain is helpful. We call the rain sweet, kind etc.
Meenu said ‘Mother thank you for answering my question. Now I will write an article about rain. After that I go to bed.
So Meenu started writing a good article about the rain. After finishing it she went to bed.
