WHEN I WAS ALONE AT HOME

By Bipasha Bajaj (III A)

Last Saturday at about 10.00 pm my parents left me alone at home as they were going for a late night party. It was an adult party and I was not allowed to join them. I sat and read my Robinhood Storybook. I was bored reading the story book so I sat down in my lawn and kept on staring at the beautiful, twinkling and shining stars. At 11o'clock I came back and switched on the television and started watching a horror movie called "Scream". I was feeling very scared and afraid. I made some popcorn as I was feeling very hungry. After the movie was over, I heard the door bill ring. I was feeling very frightened. I felt that someone was going to harm me. But I did not open the door. At 12 the door bell rang. I went near the door and peeped throught the eyehole and saw that my mother was standing in front of the door. I opened the door and hugged my mother. I was so scared that I started crying. Then I saw my friends, relatives, neighbours and parents with gifts in their hands. They wished me a Happy Birthday! My parents had bought a nice cream cake. We all had a great time. I will never forget this day in my life.
