THE LOVE OF HEIGHTS

I climbed a hill
To reach the top
Though I crumbled
But didn't stop.
The love of heights
Took me away
I didn't want to rest
Nor to lay.
By hook and crook
I reach midway
And just turned to see
Things I crumbled on my way.
And found Oh!
I missed that beauty
All the while
I have missed loved
All the while
I have crushed saplings
All the while
I have crushed the grass
All the while.
I stepped on tender dews
Killed those crawling few
Though wind was soothing too
But I had to run too.
My legs are injured
And I am crumbled too
I am torn all over
And I never knew.
Though I regret
What I missed all through
Still I wish to reach
For which I started to.
There are no more saplings here
And no more dews too
Love is lost
And no more winds too.
No more am I the same
And no more feelings too
No more I can run
I just have to crawl through.
