Once there was an old lion living in a den. A lot of rats used to come and play around the Lion in the den everyday. The Lion was not able to sleep because the little rats made a lot of noise. One day he thought of a plan. When the rats came to play he tried to catch them. The old Lion was not able to catch the rats as they were too fast for him. The Lion felt bad about it. After sometime he felt happy as the rats went away. But the next day, the rats came again. The Lion again failed to catch any of the rats. The rats used to come every day as it was fun to trouble the Lion. The Lion kept trying. The rats instead of escaping, watched the lion struggle and laughed. But finally one day, the lion was able to catch one rat and kill it. The lion was then satisfied. The rats never came to trouble the Old Lion again. Aafia Zaki Chennai
