STORIES

Presence of Mind

There was a parrot which laid eggs one day. But the next day, she saw a
snake. She was scared. In real she was confident. She flew to the river
where the queen used to bathe. She took the queen's bangles. The maids started running after her. She dropped the bangles in front of the snake. The snake confused, stood there itself. The maids at the sight of snake started to beat the snake with sticks. The snake died at last. The parrot was overjoyed. It was her presence of mind that helped her.
