The Lad who made the Princess tell the Truth

Once, a king had a daughter who was a big fibber. Tired of her lies, the king declared that whosoever could outwit his daughter in telling fibs and make her speak the truth, would marry his daughter and have half of his kingdom. Young men from every nook and corner tried, but were unsuccessful. Then one day, three brothers tried their luck. When the the two elder brothers failed, the younger brother came forward. He narrated the princess an incident where he claimed to have seen the Queen giving the king a big hit which made figs fall out of the king's hair. The princess heard him and shouted in anger, "My father never grew figs on his head." The lad smiled smiled at the princess's true words. He thus won both the princess's hand and half of the kingdom.
