POEM

My Mother by Smit

Me and my mom are friends,
Our friendship never ever ends.

Things I do when not to her liking,
She treats me with patient understanding.

She switches off the television,
Says it will spoil my vision.

When I am farthest to my class books,
She hooks me on to them with gallant looks.

When I scatter my things all around the place,
She makes me clean up with no frown on her face.

Tired at the end of the day when I want a nap,
She lovingly puts me to sleep on her lap.

When I tell my mom "I Love You",
she tells me smilingly "I Love You too".
