POEM

Unleashing a New Me

Little did I want to get into fight,
But her grudge remained and I moved on to get out of sight.
I stepped on the wet turf,
A moment when new feelings got birth.
Cold and refreshing was every raindrop,
Covering the memories of my dark backdrop.

Washing away the memories of the last meeting,
Forcing me to look at it all with meaning.
Sweeping away the sandcastles the children built,
Soothing my mind marooned with guilt.

Now the clouds have moved apart ,making way for the sun,
Seen now is a clear and bright horizon.
The rains are disappearing into the mud,
Disappears with it my anger and grudge.

Now the sun rises ,
Lighting even the darkest places,
Promising a better future for every forlorn creature.
As for me, through the darkest paths I have trodden,
But the memories of the fight in my mind are hidden.
