POEM

Beauty at Risk

One twilight morning
I stepped into my terrace
not knowing an enchanting
is waiting for me.

I was taken aback
when I saw the
dim sun rays on clouds
of peculiar shapes.

I felt spring
upon my cheek;
a gust of wind
with fresh smell of
newly born leaves.

Streets piled by trees
added beauty with
sparkling dew drops
to our city.

That day I went to sleep
with scene still
fresh in my mind
only to have a nightmare
in which land turns barren
with piles of bones
where no human can survive.

WILL WE MAKE MY
DREAM COME TRUE?
