Diwali by Ashrita

Diwali the three days festival,
Dhanteras showing wealth's arrival.
Lakshmi puja to worship with devotion,
Bhai dhuj binding siblings with affection.
The streets filled with diyas so bright,
Many crackers in the sky of night.
Burning a lot of crackers,
Causing trouble to the road sweepers.
Instead of crackers burn a bad quality,
Of the trees increase the quantity.
Ignite the knowledge in your mind,
Whatever in the diya's light you find.
I wish for a Diwali with no pollution,
Not of smoke but of light let this be an occasion.
