The Merry Stream

Between the trees, and in and out
The little streamlet goes,
I wonder if it’s never tired
So fast it always flows!
It never stops to rest or play
But hurries on its way.

From heath to hill
All the carnals with joy fill.
After drinking from the waterhole,
The creatures along the Ganges have a stroll.

Don’t pollute this little merry stream
This is needed by us for our daily routine,
It’s the source of our life
And without this we cannot survive.

Manan A Salodkar

Note: the word carnals means animals.
the word heath means plain land.
