I failed to see his love

I waited and waited
for him to see
for how much in love
he meant to me

I waited and waited
for him to come
And take away the sorrow
I sensed with some

I waited and waited
for him to grow
In patience and understanding
unlike a poison arrow

I waited and waited
for him to love me
like I loved him.. I..
like love should be

I waited and waited
for my brother to see
while I missed seeing
that he was all that I wanted him to be
