There were three prisoners standing before a judge. The judge looked sternly at the first and said:
"What do you have to say for yourself?"
The second man answered:
"I'm not guilty, Your Honour."
"I wasn't speaking to you!" said the judge, sharply.
"But I didn't say anything, Your Honour," said the third man.
"Why was the judge getting these strange responses from the men standing before him?
