Before starting meditation you should make a very strong mind as to not to expect any thing from meditation. Feel it as service to god and society. You do it for social good. You are part of it. You will also be benefited. Secondly you start with karma shuddi. Make resolutions that I wont tell lie. I will not hurt others. I will do only right things. I will not get angry. I will maintain calm. I will follow strict discipline in food, sleep and activities. Follow it. You may achieve karma shuddi and vak shuddi over a period of time. Everyday you maintain silence for one hour at home. During that time you introspect yourself. Over a period of time your mind will start becoming silent. In the beginning it is very difficult since it is a discipline. Later value and virtue becomes your habit. At this stage you introduce yourself to pooja. Do pooja in the morning to your beloved god. Slowly place the image of god in your heart and start doing pooja in your mind. God within you will teach you how to meditate and what method is good for you. Good luck

Aside from the technique of meditation on void, emptying the mind completely, there is another technique of meditation meant for concentrating the mind on that is spiritual. The object of the mind in such meditation is the supreme, God, or whatever you want to call the absolute spiritual being that is the source and meaning of all creation. Instead of fighting the mind, trying to get it clear, the one who practice this meditation is trying to focus his mind on the supreme, on God, and thus using it as a tool in hes spiritual practice. Hi friends! According to me yoga is a good method of meditation. Generally the word 'yoga' means to add something but here yoga is the combination of exercises with correct breathing processes which are called 'asans'. They develop a striking personality and also bring charm in your personality. You can also take it as a way to remember GOD at a peaceful place and time. I love yoga but don't perform it as practising kathak dance everyday is enough for me. That's all I wanted to say.

I think YOGA classes should be started in all school on a regular basis. Also it should be a subject like math,Eng.sic.....etc. If our organisations allow, it is best for offices also.

I think Sahaja Yoga is wonderful. It makes you a better person, it makes you experience a different kind of high which you probably hav not felt before. My personal experience has been awesome and I recommend this to everyone.

Yoga and meditation is something which should be taught to students from the school level itself. This is the rich culture of India and everyone should know about it. It helps to keep fit. Students nowadays have no time for exercise as they have too much of portions to study so if yoga is introduced in the schools then physical health can be assured. My school has yoga sessions everyday. Deep breathing and Pranayama exercises are the things with which we start our day in the school. It keeps us fresh and stressfree throughout the day. They are stressbusters during the exams. They also improve concentration and memory. So Yoga and Meditation should be made compulsory in every school in the country.

Yoga and meditation are meant for all people of all age groups. Yoga and meditation sharpen one's memory and keeps him/her self physically and mentally fit.
