Hunger |
. |
My friend and I went to a restaurant and ordered food. My friend asked the waiter to bring the food after an hour while I was dying of hunger. When the food arrived, I chopped everything in as fast as I can, while my friend was extending it as much as he can. I wondered.
So please tell me "How long does the brain take to tell stomach that you are hungry?"

I think the brain four hours to tell the stomach that we are hungry because it takes four hours for digestion of food and after the eaten food is digested, then only we feel hungry.

I think that the brain recognises our hunger immediately when the enzymes are secreted, by the intestine at about the time we usually take the food in, for digestion.

Brain has no business to tell stomach that you are hungry. Your belly produces some kinds of keytones that rings your alarm of hunger. That is it!

The brain does not need to tell the stomach that you are hungry. Infact, whenever the stomach is empty it starts movement which make a certain noise, and even without hearing this noise you can tell that you are hungry

Well, first of all thenerves carry the message to the brain. And second thing a brain doesn't tell the stomach that you are hungry. There is an acid(hydro chloric acid)HCL present in our stomach and it is harmfull,if it sticks to the wall of our stomach it starts to burn it and thus produce noise and it sometimes hurts too. This is how we feel hungry or we get stomach pains. The way to prevent it is -have your food at proper time that is neither too late nor too early. When we eat our food the HCL gets mixed with our food that is neccessary for digestion. HCL only gets produce when its time for us to eat. Therefore eat your food at proper time.

The stomach contains an acid named hydrochloric acid. When you are hungry the stomach makes these acidic preparations. When you eat the food it breaks the food down. When the acid preparations are complete. The brain gives a signal.

After the previous food intake is digested then slowly in our body dilute hydrocloric acid which is continuous in its supply reacts with the stomach. Then the pain starts.

Gaurav Ragtah |
Our body clock gets adjusted to our eating time patterns and so the salivary enzymes and the enzymes and acids of the stomach are secreted at those times. Due to changing pH levels (acidity levels ) in our body the brain is alerted and we get the sensation of hunger. That is why the time can differ from person to person. |
